Owls academy manager Sean McAuley has received a call-up to represent Manchester United for this Saturday's Masters Tournament at the city's MEN Arena.

McAuley rose through the ranks with the Red Devils, spending four years at Old Trafford before joining SPL side St Johnstone for £100,000 in 1992.

Sean is eagerly anticipating this weekend's events, telling swfc.co.uk:

"I had a great grounding at Manchester United. I had four years there and I'm really looking forward to catching up with the lads, we grew up in football together.

"They were and still are a very level-headed group."

United will play a minimum of two group games with the possibility of progression into the final.
