Laws Praises Owls Performance
Brian Laws praised his Wednesday charges despite seeing SWFC allow local rivals United back into a pulsating Steel City derby on Tuesday night.
The Owls led the Blades 2-0 through Adam Bolder's brace but United hit back to salvage a point through a Richard Wood own goal and James Beattie's class free kick.
Laws said: "I think like our supporters I was dreaming of the double over Sheffield United and I would like to be feeling elation standing here instead of disappointment.
"We deserved more from that game but didn't get it, although it was an excellent performance. We caused them all kinds of problems."
Laws went on to say the Owls' run of resistance - that now extends to just one defeat in 13 Championship games - makes a mockery of their lowly position as the relegation battle approaches boiling point.
He added: "It's just mind-boggling to think where we are in the table when we are capable of producing performances like that.
"We know that United have quality but we surprised them again and showed what we are capable of. But goals change games and their first goal gave them the lift they needed."
