The Blizzard which was blowing through S6 didn't cool the tempo of the game down any with Brian Laws' men taking an early lead courtesy of a well worked goal created by precision link up play between Franck Songo'o, Ben Sahar and Deon Burton. But it was the eighteen-year-old Chelsea Loanee who drove the ball home to open his Owls' account and break the goalless deadlock.
Going into the break all square it was Wednesday's Wade Small who gave the home side the lead for the second time when slotting home a shot from the acutest of angles only to be denied the points in the ninety second minute when the last kick of the game was looped over keeper Lee Grant to give the Londoner's a share of the spoils.
