Table toppers Stoke City arrived at Hillsborough looking to further extend their lead of nearest rivals Bristol City. However, Brian Laws' men also had plans of their own and in a fiery encounter the Owls bagged a share of the spoils thanks to a well placed shot from loanee Franck Songo'o.
It was the visitors who got of to an early lead when former Owl Richard Cresswell flicked past Lee Grant to open the scoring in the twenty first minute but a well placed shot from Songo'o deep in the flanks during the second period was enough to earn a share of the points.
