Brian Laws is getting wired into his task at Hillsborough, according to the Sheffield Star. Paul Thompson writes:
"The Owls manager is trying radio links as a way of analysing a game from every possible angle.
"It is well known that at some matches he has sat in the stand for one half and spent the other half on the touchline.
"But Laws has now revealed that sometimes when he has been by the pitch he has also been linked by radio to a member of staff who was providing an 'eye in the sky' from the stand.
"Laws said: "You try little things to see if they can help - and things certainly seem to be going for us at the moment!
"But ultimately, of course, it's down to what the players do on the pitch."
Meanwhile, the Green 'Un reports that Wednesday could face a battle for the signature of Graham Kavanagh should Laws renew his interest in the former Owls loanee.
Kavanagh is down the pecking order at Sunderland, leading to speculation of a move in the January transfer window. Thompson writes:
"Other clubs have homed in on the Sunderland midfielder who helped to spark a Hillsborough revival.
"His future is likely to be thrashed out next week, with no sign yet of him achieving his goal of a place in Sunderland's side as Black Cats stars return from injury, and with several clubs eyeing a move for him."
