Owls Crowned Comeback Kings
Wednesday have been officially crowned as the Championship comeback kings following the 2007/08 campaign.
Brian Laws' side posted a massive 29 points from a losing start, enough to finish top of the tree in the second tier.
The Owls' ability to overturn potential defeat into victory was never more evident than during the last two games of the season.
In crucial contests against Leicester and Norwich, Wednesday conceded first but hit back to register three points from both games - wins that effectively sealed the club's Championship survival.
Boss Laws told swfc.co.uk: "I think it's been quite evident that we had the worst record for conceding early goals but the best for recovering.
"That tells you that when we did concede, there was a steely resilience in the team, nobody panicked, and that was the story of the last third of the season and particularly during those last two games.
"We went behind to early goals in real high pressure games and the players could have been forgiven for wilting and falling away. The fact they didn't tells you everything about their mental strength, they showed they have 'bouncebackability' and for that they deserve great credit."
