Sheffield Wednesday will host Rotherham United on Tuesday, August 12, in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The match against the Millers will kick off at 7.45pm, with the Owls' first two games of the 2008/09 season being at home following the Championship season opener on Saturday, August 9.
