Peter joined Wednesday from Leicester City in January 2006, signing a contract until 2009 with the Owls after an initial six-week loan spell at S6. He completed a successful comeback from a cruciate ligament injury during the 2006/07 season following a lengthy lay-off, returning to the Wednesday team after gaining fitness on loan at Doncaster Rovers.
The left back was a near ever-present in Plymouth Argyle's back line during his time at Home Park, making 84 appearances in two years for the Pilgrims after joining from first club Birmingham City in 2003. Although born in Newcastle, Peter has made a number of appearances for the Welsh under-21s, gaining his first cap against Latvia in August 2005.
